Lead Application Developer - sustainability analysis, metrics, performance dashboards - to build and enhance web based tools for analyzing and delivering sustainability metrics for companies and communities.
The ideal candidate - is self managing and self motivating
- likes to take ownership of a project and make sure that it is well designed and well implemented from start to finish
- has a good knowledge of database design
- has working knowledge of Ruby, PHP and/or Java, with an expertise and love of rapid development in one of them
- can demonstrate an understanding of the entire web stack and the appropriate use of open standards to solve common application and framework problems
- has a demonstrated ability to deliver successful software on time and on budget
- is excited about marrying their proven technical wizardry with your desire to help heal the planet
Requirements: - 3-5 years web development experience
- Experience designing and developing multiple services and resources in a web-based environment not limited to but including experience with Ruby, PHP and/or Java
- Proven knowledge of web architecture principles, including familiarity with web accessibility/usability norms and guidelines
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership ability in management and development of complex web sites, including: technical development, information architecture, content development, usability, etc.
- Experience working with business users to gather functional requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a variety of personalities and levels in the organization
